Bologna Winter 2025

Welcome to Bologna; a place where you’ll never go hungry! Often referred to as the gut of Italy, Bologna is the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region and very well known for its cuisine and culinary traditions. Ever taste prosciutto, parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinegar or mortadella? These are some of the many famous delicacies home to the region. Bologna is considered a mid size city of 400,000 residents and home to the oldest university in Europe. Students will enjoy a cultural immersion in Rome and Florence before arriving in Bologna for their two week stay.

Program Overview

A Closer Look

July 13 - August 3
Arrival - Students will arrive in Florence on Saturday July 13 and check into the program hotel. The following day after student orientation, students will check into student apartments.
Departure - Students are expected to check out on Saturday August 3 at 10am from their apartments.
Students will spend the first night in a hotel then the remainder of the program in student apartments. Students apartment apartments are centrally located and contain air conditioning.
Each room is divided by 2 or sometimes 3 students and are located in different neighborhoods in Florence.
Each program will have a welcome and farewell dinner. The rest of the meals are not provided. Student will have easy access to various restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and fast food options.
